CONFLICTS AT THE COLOMBIA-VENEZUELA BORDER
After proclaiming himself president of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó tried to enter Venezuela with 600 tons of humanitarian aid funded by the USA. In response, Nicolás Maduro closed the land and sea borders for at least 1 month, declaring illegal the convoy's entrance. In the days following the failed attempt to enter, the Colombian city of Cúcuta, on the border with Venezuela, was the scene of conflicts with Maduro's troops, and of dramas such as the father who had to smuggle his son's body so that he could be buried in Venezuela. Special coverage for the Portuguese newspaper Expresso.
